A see-through JointBrex bottle showing the capsules inside

Turn the bottle to the side panel and you will find a small box called Supplement Facts. That box is the only place that prints all eight amounts. Everything else, the sales page and the seller pack included, is a summary.

Here we copy the box line by line, add up what it holds, and set each amount beside the dose used in studies. The label is the source of truth. Where other pages disagree, we say so.

What are the key facts on the JointBrex label?

  • Serving size: 2 vegetable capsules. Servings per container: 30. Capsules per bottle: 60.
  • Eight ingredient rows. Each has an amount. None has a Daily Value, shown with a dagger mark.
  • Listed amounts add up to 1,400.1 mg per serving. Glucosamine sulfate is 1,000 mg of that.
  • Other ingredients: cellulose (the vegetable capsule) and rice flour.
  • Allergen line: contains crustacean shellfish (crayfish).
  • Directions: take 2 capsules daily before a meal. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Distributed by LOJA EXPERIENCE LTDA, Aurora, CO 80011, USA. The label names no maker.
  • Not for anyone under 18, or for pregnant or nursing mothers.

What is in JointBrex, line by line?

The table copies each row. The share column is our own arithmetic: each amount divided by the 1,400.1 mg total, rounded.

Study doses come from (NEJM 2006, Clegg et al., GAIT trial), (Cochrane 2014, Cameron and Chrubasik, Oral herbal therapies for OA), (BMJ Open Sport Exerc Med 2021, Paultre et al., Turmeric/curcumin for knee OA) and (Arthritis Foundation, Supplement and Herb Guide for Arthritis Symptoms). The ingredient pages on this site cover each one in more detail.

What does the dagger mark on the label mean?

The dagger stands for “Daily Value not established”. It sits beside all eight rows. It is not a warning. It only means no official daily target exists, so the label cannot print a percentage.

The milligrams are still printed next to it. That is why we compare each amount with study doses instead of with a Daily Value.

The footer also says percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. That line is standard text. It has nothing to measure here.

Which ingredients are big and which are tiny?

Glucosamine sulfate is almost three quarters of the serving. Boswellia, chondroitin and turmeric add about 9.5%, 7.1% and 7.1%. The last four rows are 16.7 mg each. Together they come to 66.8 mg, which is under 5% of the total.

1,000 mgglucosamine sulfate per serving
133.3 mgboswellia extract per serving
66.8 mgthe four 16.7 mg rows combined
30,000 mgglucosamine in a whole 60-capsule bottle

A bottle holds 30 servings, so the glucosamine in one bottle adds up to 30,000 mg. That is our multiplication, not a label figure.

Is there shellfish in JointBrex?

Yes. The label prints “Contains: crustacean shellfish (crayfish)”. Glucosamine is usually made from shellfish shells, and the allergen line is tied to it.

Shellfish allergy. If shrimp, crab, lobster or crayfish have ever caused you a reaction, do not start JointBrex without an allergist’s advice. Bromelain comes from pineapple, so a pineapple allergy is a flag as well.

The capsule shell is cellulose, which is plant based. The contents are not vegetarian, because of the crayfish.

Why do other pages list different ingredients?

The sales page names six ingredients and gives no amounts. It skips quercetin and methionine. The seller pack names a different six and leaves out MSM and bromelain. The bottle label lists all eight.

Some outside pages describe a “JointBrex” with other ingredients, such as turmeric extract, forskolin and BioPerine. None of these is on the label we read. If a listing does not show the crayfish line and the eight amounts, it is not this formula.

This also answers a common search about how JointBrex compares with other products. Compare label to label. Check the milligrams of each ingredient, the serving size and the allergen line, not the front claim.

What does the front of the bottle claim?

The front reads “For pain relief from muscle & joint injuries*”. The asterisk points to the FDA box, which says the statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

A supplement may describe how an ingredient supports the body, with that disclaimer. It may not claim to treat a disease (FDA, Structure/Function Claims). So read the pain relief line as marketing. JointBrex is not an arthritis treatment and it is not FDA approved (FDA, FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).

What is not published about the ingredients?

  • The manufacturer’s name. The label names only a distributor.
  • What the boswellia extract is standardized to.
  • The source of the chondroitin.
  • The curcumin content of the turmeric root.
  • A public lab report (certificate of analysis) for any lot.
  • Any study of JointBrex itself.

Lot JOI-26/JO-7417 and CoA JOI-7417-26-JO are reference labels from the seller. They are not lab results.

Who should check with a doctor before using it?

The label says to consult a physician first, especially if you take a medication or have a medical condition. Our sources add these points:

Frequently asked questions

What are the ingredients in JointBrex?

Glucosamine sulfate 1,000 mg, boswellia extract 133.3 mg, chondroitin sulfate 100 mg, turmeric root 100 mg, and quercetin, methionine, MSM and bromelain at 16.7 mg each, per 2 capsules.

What are the other ingredients?

Cellulose, which is the vegetable capsule, and rice flour. The label also says it contains crustacean shellfish (crayfish).

How many capsules are in a bottle?

A bottle holds 60 capsules. At the label serving of 2 capsules a day, that is 30 servings.

Is JointBrex suitable for vegetarians?

No. The capsule shell is plant cellulose, but the label says the product contains crayfish, a crustacean shellfish.

Does JointBrex contain forskolin or BioPerine?

Not on the label we read. Some outside pages describe a different formula with those ingredients, so compare any listing with the eight amounts on the bottle.

Are the ingredients FDA approved?

No. JointBrex is not FDA approved, and the FDA does not approve dietary supplements. The label carries the standard disclaimer.

Our view

The label is open about what is inside. All eight amounts are printed, and so is the crayfish allergen.

The label also makes one thing clear: most amounts sit below the doses used in studies. Glucosamine is at two-thirds, chondroitin at about one-twelfth, and four rows are tiny. Only boswellia sits in a studied range, and its extract type is not named.

Use the list to decide if the formula suits you, then ask your doctor or pharmacist. Bring the label.
